Shipping
​
Customer orders can be collected in store by selecting the ‘Pick Up’ option in the checkout process, or we can send small orders by courier or for large trees or large volume orders by a truck transport company. We normally use Courier Post/NZ Post and Post Haste for our courier service and Mainfreight for large items and large orders. We send orders nationwide, even to Great Barrier Island and Stewart Island.
Checkout Process
The Trees for Bees Nursery checkout process does not calculate the cost of shipping when you are ready to submit your order. Our wide range of plants comes in many different shapes and sizes, making it difficult to have an automated calculator to determine shipping costs.

To place an order, or to find out the cost to send an order, please complete the order process. At the Payment section, select the option ‘Payment by invoice for courier orders’. This will require no payment at the time of checkout and then we receive all of the details needed to enable us to advise the shipping cost. An automated confirmation order email is sent after making an order. It will show the status as ‘Awaiting Payment’.

Create Invoice
After we receive a customer order, we will work out the shipping cost, then email an invoice that includes the shipping. Please allow up to 1-3 days for us to calculate and email the invoice. After receiving the invoice, the customer has the information to decide if they would like to go ahead, make changes to the order, or cancel the order.
Payment

Payment can be made by Credit Card if the order is for Pick Up. For orders that have received an invoice, payment is typically made by bank payment. Payment details for making payment are noted on the invoice.

Once payment has been received, we will send the order. We send plant orders Monday and Tuesday to the South Island. For the North Island we send plants Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Non plant orders are sent Monday to Friday. These days are subject to change due to public holidays and weather events.
New Zealand Orders Only

Trees for Bees Nursery only sells in New Zealand. Sorry we do not send plants overseas.

Returns Policy
​
Damages, Incorrect or Missing Items
If the customer receives a damaged plant, a missing item or some other issue or concern with an order, please let us know as soon as possible and within 3 days of receiving the order. Please take pictures and email them to us at treesforbeesnz@gmail.com when advising of the issue.

For damaged items, we will liaise with the courier/freight company to make a claim for the damages. We will then work out with the customer whether a refund or replacement (subject to stock availability) will be provided.

For incorrectly sent items in an order, any goods returned must be done so in 3 days and in 'as sold' condition, meaning the item(s) is unused, has not been planted and is potted or bagged as sent, not damaged or missing. Goods that have been damaged or are not resaleable will not be credited in full.

Returns
​
We treat returns and replacements on a case by case basis at our sole discretion, upholding the requirements of the Consumer Guarantees Act. Please notify us within 3 days of receiving the item. Items purchased on sale (price reductions) or Clearance are not eligible for refund or replacement. We cannot take responsibility for plants that have perished due to lack of care or being in an unsuitable environment.
